Takeru is a kid who typically resides in the playground of the Entertainment Center. He spends his time in the more secluded or hidden areas as an effort to conceal himself from what he perceives as "danger." This specifcally includes his deep fear of Imomushi-san, the carnivorous giant caterpillar residing in the Funhouse. After losing a finger to this viscious creature, Takeru hardly ever leaves his safe spots alone. He only tends to roam the rest of the Entertainment Center when guided by his cousin, Yuuma, or taken by Akuma. While Takeru is typically always nervous about something or relatively quiet, he does enjoy spending time with those who are close to him, so he values the moments where he's out of hiding.

"Yuuma is my cousin, and I really like when I get to hang out with him... Being around him makes me feel a little less scared being here. He takes me upstairs to the Employee's Only Room pretty often, like for lunch breaks or when the day's over. I get to sleep in a guest room. He offered to let me stay in his, but... I toss and turn too much."
Akuma
"Akuma is... kind of my best friend? I think so... He always drags me out of the playground to go upstairs with him or joins me in here when he's bored. He's... a little much, and maybe a little mean. I know he doesn't like my cousin, but... He seems to like spending time with me. I wonder why he doesn't hate me automatically?...Anyway, I still appreciate him, even if he's kind of crazy."

"Yuuma really loves Captain, so I suppose I also like him. He's not really great at making conversation or doing much, but I can tell he tries his best around me, so I appreciate him. I hope he knows that..."

"You'd think maybe because me and Kokoa are both the anxious type that we wouldn't be able to even start a conversation, but I actually enjoy talking to her whenever we see each other. I think our personalities just click. We both have a lot of the same struggles."

• Takeru made his debut in version 1 of Kamifubuki Entertainment Center, staying in pretty much the same area in every version after it.
• Takeru's original creation goes back to 2020, and his placeholder name was Takeji until it was decided to make the change.
• Takeru stands at 4'11", but may look shorter when he hunches or cowers.
• Takeru, while being scared of a handful of other things, does not have arachnophobia. He enjoys spiders and likes to pick them up when he finds them.
